Reminder Meeting shortly on a Supplementary Sustainable Global Economy and a basic Income for all

 

Dear Friends and Colleagues, This is a warm invitation to join our next meeting on a Supplementary Income that is beginning shortly: on Wednesday 6th, 7 pm CET, 6 PM West African Timel, 8 pm West African Time., 1 pm EDT, 8 am PDT. Please check your times below to avoid confusion due to the recent time changes. The agenda and meeting details can be found below. We have been progressing on several fronts at once and you are invited to join in the momentum we have gained. We have a number of opportunities for your input to the UN below. Please do look at what actions you wish to take upon receipt of this email since some have very close deadlines for input. Here is an overview of opportunities for outreach and topics for discussion. We have been gathering materials for outreach. An explainer video is in the works which will explain the SIFA plan in simple language.  Here the drivers have been Elly and BIll with Bill conceiving of the final version and doing the amazing technical work. Thanks Bill and Elly. We are looking forward to a group discussion for any tweaking it might need,. Our world needs the SIFA Plan and so it is important that you all feel good about using this video for outreach. Please also see our final 9-page explanation that has hopefully none of the drawbacks that the 30-pager had in the eyes of many (too long and convoluted.) It was up for your input and here is the link to the latest version of this document: In collaboration with the Commons Cluster, we are preparing mailings that will go out to Heads of State and Governments, UN AMbassadors in NY, Geneva, and Nairobi, all UNESCO Ambassadors and all UNESCO National Commissions in connection with the following UN conferences. The Education Summit focussing on cooperation: preparatory meeting June 2 and Summit itself early September; The High Level Political Forum for which we can do a special mailing on the SIFA Plan and also a possible side event.  Here also we need all hands on deck for your ideas and if you like, your participation. These mailings will list the SIFA Plan as part of a greater whole. Bottom UP: we shall be preparing to introduce the SIFA Plan to the Basic Income Earth Network in October in Australia. Possible other outreach to the UN and Member States, possible contact with individual Member States ahead of the above mentioned meetings.  5.
