Oceans cover 71 percent of our planet, driving our atmosphere that reaches deep into the universe and spans our solar system and beyond.  In observance of UN World Oceans Day/Month 2021 we will highlight the important connections between outer-space, science, innovative technology and the arts in supporting our oceans with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals and stakeholders from various sectors. Through investments in new innovative technologies we are monitoring and addressing issues such as vital oxygen levels, the rising coastal sea levels, and the impacts on coral reefs and the Arctic due to the shifts in the oceans temperature. Another growing crisis is plastic pollution, which threatens life below the sea including our sources of food and industries that depend on the ocean as a source of economic sustainability. Entrepreneurs and heads of industry, academia and civil society are forming partnerships to solve many of these major issues especially following the delays due to the pandemic. Art and Design have an important role in raising awareness of these concerns with initiatives that support advocacy to inspire and engage support for our oceans.
