HLPF Side Event: Intergenerational Equity and the SDGs [July 16, 3pm] hosted by Canadians

Join us Tuesday, July 16 2019, 3 – 4:30PM at 466 Lexington Avenue in New York City for a side event that explores intergenerational
equity and the SDGs. Please register here as space as limited.
This youth-led side event will explore the overlap between intergenerational equity and the SDGs, the importance of intergenerational equity in achieving the SDGs, and will include a participatory roundtable discussion of how we can further both Agenda 2030 and intergenerational equity.
Through our research findings, youth presentations and roundtables, we hope to highlight the diversity of ways all generations, particularly youth, are implementing Agenda 2030. As well as identify opportunities in Agenda 2030 for intergenerational equity, we will identify potential strengths and weaknesses. This event will provide goal case studies from youth on the overlap between intergenerational equity and specific SDGs, and how this principle of Agenda 2030 can further the progression of these specific goals. To continue momentum built during the HLPF for youth and using the findings from the roundtables, this event will inform a written report on intergenerational equity and Agenda 2030.
This event is co-hosted by BCCIC, the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC) and the Permanent Mission of Canada.
