A Fair Earth Share is a Human Right

Dear colleagues,

I am writing you from the Netherlands. I have been receiving the NGO MG mailings for some time and I salute you all for the important groupwork you are doing.

I would like to inform you of an initiative on Footprint Justice hoping it can be brought up at ECOSOC. This initiative entails the quest for a request of an Advisory Opinion by the International Court of Justice on the question whether

a Fair Earth Share is a Human Right.

In the 1990-ies I have attended several ECOSOC-sessions (in Geneva) and I remember the broad opportunities to lobby, especially in the corridors. Perhaps the possibility of requesting an Advisory Opinion on the matter could be brought up with delegates.
